Sun Java (TM) Studio Enterprise was an integrated development environment for building, testing, and deploying enterprise Java applications. Built on the NetBeans platform, it provided robust code editing, visual design, and debugging tools for Java EE (J2EE) technologies including Servlets/JSP, EJB, web services, and XML. The suite featured UML modeling, profiling, refactoring, Ant-based builds, version control integration, and tight integration with application servers such as Sun Java System Application Server. Although discontinued, it is remembered for offering comprehensive end-to-end tooling that streamlined the enterprise application lifecycle.
